Orlando

The massacre at The Pulse nightclub last night took place at a venue about 25 minutes away from where I live.  Am I horrified by how close terrorism has come to my home, my turf, my family?  Yes, I am horrified.

I am also filled with grief for the beautiful young lives that were lost.  The sorrow I feel for the loss of great potential, and for the pain their loved ones feel this morning is beyond words.

Am I afraid?  No, I am not afraid.  I am angry.

    2. Oh, I'm always here. And always sending my love. Just too busy to say much. Which is dumb. Nothing is more important than family and friends.

  3. When will Washington feel the pain?

  4. The measure of hate that spawned this measure of violence is horrifying. Always. Even more so when it occurs in one's backyard. I echo your thoughts and words for the pain of those lost and hurt and their family and friends. May Peace Be With Us. All.

Please, may we change tomorrow. Today.

    1. It is so hard to understand how someone could do something like this.

  5. I can't even express how horrible I feel about this hate crime. I am so mad that these assault weapons are sold in this country and people we vote for, on both sides of the aisle, do nothing about it.

    1. Absolutely. I just don't get it. After so many horrible events - WHY isn't gun control being enacted?

    1. It does seem that way these days, but my sincere hope is that we are just going through a painful transformation.
