Check yourself

Here's a great site to check voter registration deadlines, your voting status, and find your voting location regardless of state:

https://www.headcount.org/deadlines-dates/?section=fed

Voter registrations deadlines are early this week in most states.  If you haven't registered, please go online and do so ASAP.   It has never been more important to vote.  Go high. Vote as if your rights depended on it.

  1. November will see women and men voting for sanity, for putting a stop to what is happening in our country currently. I'm counting on all the first-time voters and those who will be voting in the future.

I'm counting on those who haven't been voting because they think their vote doesn't matter and now know it does matter and will be voting in November.

  2. The month between now and election day is going to be so very long, but like the arc of the moral universe, I hope it bends toward justice. VOTE!

  3. Great site! Whether you think Trump is the devil or the greatest thing since sliced bread, it's your civic duty to vote. My local reps and their challengers are morons but I am still voting for the less moronic. It's the most American thing I do each year.

  5. I will date myself by saying that I worked very hard on the 26th amendment - changing the voting age from 21 to 18. Now if only those young folk would exercise that right in a big way. Fingers crossed to turn this nightmare around.

    1. I know a lot of young people who are motivated and working hard. My hope is they can convince others to sign up to vote.

  6. If I could I'd be perfectly willing to follow the Tammany Hall (I think) dictum: Vote early, vote often.

    1. Ha. Unfortunately, one can no longer joke about something like that in the States. Tempers are running high and distrust abounds.

    1. Yes. I live in the middle of the state, and the hurricane headed up north from the Gulf of Mexico. Thanks! I can't do a single word.

  8. I can row and I can swim. I'll make it. Besides the polls are only two blocks away.
