Sorry folks. I fell and broke my knee. Has surgery to repair. I won’t be able to review and publish your comments for a few days. Will tell you all about it soon. All will be fine. Feeling better every day. Cheers!
Oh Colette, I am so sorry that you had such a bad fall. Hope you heal well and quickly. Thinking of you and sending you the best healing good wishes from California. Take care there.
OMG, I so sorry that you are going through that! All my best for a speedy recovery. Take your pain pills (if you need them) they really do help with the healing time. Less stress = quicker healing. Best to you.
O-oh-oh-ah-ah-argghh! Sometimes (quite often, actually) words aren't enough. A knee, forsooth! As an ex-skier I know about knees. Knees have only one function and that's to bend. When they don't you're reduced to hopping which is painful and undignified. A damaged knee is a bastard in ten different ways. I'd say you have my sympathy except it's a phrase that's been over-winnowed. Dried out. A mere husk. Something more helpful, then. Something unexpected, profound and comforting. A dream...
You dream you're being crowned queen of Sweden. In a charmingly modest way (You surprise yourself!) you protest; this cannot happen, you're a citizen of a republic. Monarchies are old hat. The Swedish suzerain (Google it.), who's 6 ft 8 in, with floppy blonde hair that bisects his forehead, and cheekbones to die for, says: "We know that but we're busting the rule-book. You're exactly the person we want to rule us. We'd list your qualities but you'd be embarrassed. All Hail Queen Colette! Oh, and by the way, the salary is not inconsiderable."
You love that double negative. Back in Fla. it's presently 110 deg F, the humidity is 150 % and rising, and the nearest power plant has just melted. Smiling your winningest smile you say: "Heck, why not?"
I hope there's a sentiment in there that hints at my feelings.
A broken Knee sounds particularly painful and complicated, I know you've had the surgery by now and are Healing, how long is the recovery expected to take?
Well, rats! Sorry. Hopefully you have whipped the medical establishment into shape while recovering. HUGS
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hope you feel better! :(
ReplyDeleteSending love, Colette, as your knee heals. It's amazing what those orthopedic surgeons can do to mend our broken bones!
