Great random photos. I love your grandson's long Christmas list. That is truly adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Robin.
DeleteI had to google Kouign Amann because I had never heard of it! Sounds like a cross between a croissant and a cinnamon roll? Do have them for dessert or for breakfast? Were they good?
ReplyDeleteWhen I make them, its for both dessert and for breakfast. It's hard to stay away from them, and they are best served they day they are made. But they freeze well. My granddaughter loves them.
DeleteDamn, I never ran into Merlin so I don't know the strength of my personality!
ReplyDeleteha! I'm afraid to shake his hand.
DeleteI also like your grandson's list. He is ceertainly specific isn't he?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, he's VERY specific. But he's usually quite happy with whatever he gets. And who doesn't like surprises?
DeleteI've never heard of Kouign Amann and now I want to make it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteDo yourself a favor and make them! They are amazing. Here's the recipe I use. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/271049/kouign-amann/
DeleteI was with him until the watersnake came up.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos
Ha!
DeleteLove the Christmas list -- how the print size gets smaller and smaller as he goes down the page. Gotta cram as much on there as possible! LOL
ReplyDeleteHe's an endless source of joy.
DeleteEnjoyed the random photos, especially Merlin (!), and your grandson who likes surprises!

DeleteAm I the only person in the world who doesn't like the smell of burning candles? Especially just after they've been snuffed out.
ReplyDeleteWhen I mention it people tend towards disbelief. As if I were adopting an obscure pose. My wife suffers similar obloquy on announcing she doesn't like chocolate. The rest of the world reacts to chocolate like a select few reacts to heroin - finds it irresistible - and seems determined that my wife should share their addiction. Turning up with hideously expensive boxes from the best source of chocolate in the universe (Belgium). Just try it, they say. She shakes her head loftily. It's chocolate I dislike, she says, the quality is unimportant.
And thus we have become pariahs in our local community; people crossing to the other sidewalk just in case what we suffer from is infectious. And we must, therefore, paddle our own canoe.
Ha! Such dramatic effect. Sorry it took me so long to post a reply, I've been out of town.
DeleteThat's quite a Christmas list!
ReplyDeleteNot sure why, but I like the banana leaves picture especially.
