Sick of being sick

We've been sick since Christmas Eve in my house. We seem to have contracted that unnamed respiratory virus that is making it's way across the country. The one that last for weeks and involves a ridiculous amount of coughing. We are finally on the mend.

  1. We all had it too. Glad you're on the mend.

  2. Sorry to hear you've been laid low. Hopefully as you say you're now on the mend. Luckily Jenny and I haven't caught anything nasty, but we've both had covid and flu shots.

    1. We've had covid, flu, RSV, and pneumonia vaccines, but this seems to be an unnamed cold virus.

  3. Happy to hear you two are on the mend. It's been nearly a month for me after a cold that started on December 15. The worst of it didn't last long but the cough remains. A lingering post-viral cough has been my pattern in recent years after a cold. It's such a relief when the cough becomes just a memory.

  4. May you all recover rapidly and feel wonderful and healthy for a very long time.

  5. Oh I'm so sorry. Hope you'll be feeling better soon. My husband was in a research study for RSV. When it was over he found he was in the placebo group unfortunately. The research was for the RSV vaccine. Hope you're doing better very soon!

    1. I wonder if it could be RSV? I have had the vaccine for it, but maybe it is still that only not as bad?

  6. That stinks. It's running through the old folks home, here. That's all you need to know.

  8. So sorry. What a horrible way to spend the holidays : ( but happy to read you are on the mend.

Now that we have daycare kids in our lives, illness just seems to circulate round and round. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

  12. I hope you are feeling better, Colette. Blogger doesn't let me comment much anymore, so I'm hoping this comment goes through. (NewRobin13)

  13. Not that it's much comfort but it's happening on the the other side of The Pond. Occasional Speeder has it, so far for 81 days. Scans and anti-bio; she's here at the moment and it's finally beginning to ease a little. Chin up!
