We have company visiting from NYS, so we took them on the wildlife drive at Lake Apopka. We saw 65 alligators, which was fun for all. Here are some of them. Happy New Year!
Lake Apopka is always crawling with alligators. It's had that reputation as long as I can remember. I don't know if there really are more there, or if it's just that the lake is weedy and shallow and they're more visible, or what.
I've only seen one in my life. That was when I visited my sister in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I'm so glad she took me to a place where I could see an alligator. It's right up there with seeing a total eclipse of the sun for me. Memorable!!!
Sixty-five alligators doesn't sound fun to me. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Colette! Wishing you peace and joy in 2025!

Oh, I like that picture!
DeleteHappy new year! I am so happy alligators don't live in Ohio, though we did have one that had to be captured this past year.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of gators. Woot! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier?
